Father & Son, Marc & Blake backpack around SE Asia for over 6 months. We land in Bangkok, travel SE Thailand, then Cambodia. From Phnom Penh, through the Mekong Delta in the south of Vietnam and up to the very north mountains of Vietnam. Next we cross into Laos via a remote an not-recommended border, and eventually into the north of Thailand. In Chiang Mai, Thailand we bought off-road motorcycles and toured nearly everywhere in Thailand on them. When the 6 months were up, Dad headed back to Canada to save up for the next adventure, and Blake stayed on to eventually open The LOST HUT, bamboo bar in Chiang Mai.

Bangkok + Ko Si Chang (July 7-16, 2007) : Sai and I went to Bangkok to inspect the final products (fender flares) at the factory, then send them out in the container. We took the train to Bangkok and stayed at a little fishing resort. After the container was sent, we went to the CDN embassy, made appt to come back after the weekend, so we went to an island not far from bangkok to kill the weekend. Then monday we were back to the Embassy and she got Visa! Oh ya and the Island was right near the port where all the container ships go out ironically. Now we sell these 4x4 truck parts on our website Fender Flares
We sell several models of Toyota fender flares such as Hilux, Tacoma and Pick Up, also F150 fender flares and Dodge fender flares.

Malaysia (May 5-12, 2006) : Dad and Air go South to Malaysia! Flew into Kuala Lumpur,(south in Malaysia). The city looks like future world, amazing! Home of the famous 85 story Petronas Twin Towers (in many movies.) The country is rich in oil and gas, and it shows everywhere.

We travelled North by land from Kuala Lumpur. Stayed a day in the Cameron Highlands, 6,600ft, 1000s of acres of tea plantations owned by a Scottish family. Considered among the worlds best, an amazing sight.
Next, we went North to Georgetown, on the Island on Penang, an old Former Colonial City with English and Dutch architecture.
After, we were on to the island of Langkawi, off the NW corner of Malaysia near the thai border for three days. Great beaches and very laid back. Even got my feet wet!
We returned by ferry and then overland to Hat Yai, Thailand, about 50 miles North of the Malaysian border.
Lastly, we flew from Hat Yai to Bangkok, and then back up to Chiang Mai, in Northern Thailand.
Total costs incl hotels, travel, tours, 3 day bike rental for 2 bikes, great meals, drinking, and 3 flights for 2 people.
---$650.00 for two, NOT BAD EH?, although a bit higher than Thailand with the atrosious room rates costing as much $10 for a double room with hot water and shower!

The Gibbon Experience, Bokeo Province NW Laos (July 25- 27, 2005) : Very amazing experience but not at all what we were told we were getting into. "1hr hike" turned into 7hrs up and down mountains, through the mud, river crossings, etc. We were not given any warning that the tractor will not pick us up till we passed other pissed off people on their way out. We didn't even bring much water since it was supposed to only be 1hr. The 2 guides that met us 3 hours late didn't speak a word of english, just motioned us to follow them. One hour before reaching the treehouse things got worse! Pitchblack (nightime by now), rivercrossings, climbing steadily up muddy hills, through the jungle on narrow little paths, with lots of bugs! It was all totally worth it though. SO AMAZING!!! Keep in mind, our experience was during their first year and during their first rainy season. I am living in Chiang Mai, Thailand now so if you wanna come see me at my bamboo bar in the Old City, come to the Lost Hut.(Many Pics of the bar on this website also.) We can chat more about the Gibbon Experience. If you need directions to find the Lost Hut, gimme a call 087 184 5196 or email blakegeee@hotmail.com If you think you can find it, the bar is on the corner of Moon Muang Soi 1 and Moon Muang Soi 2. Moon Muang Soi 1 is a little lane running off of Moon Muang Rd just beside the big Mandalay disco. Finding the Lost Hut is always worth the search! All in all, I definately recommend the Gibbon Experience! Chiang Mai, Thailand now offers a couple copy-cat places known as "Flight of the Gibbon" and "Jungle Flight".
