BlakeMarc > This morning we woke up in Kampaeng Phet, nothing really too eventful there, hense no pictures. This is somewhere just off the road on the way to Nakhon Pathom.

BlakeMarc > We had pulled off the road here to give our butts a break. After this we realized that we need to take atleast a 10 minute break every time we fill up, which is about every 100km.

BlakeMarc > No shortages of hair or smiles at this gas station, although they are not always that prompt at serving you, but as you can see they are quite busy. Most business' have an abundance of staff, and they usually are quite "busy".

BlakeMarc > Rolling into Nahkon Pathom, we were a little surprised to see this from any point in town. As it turns out, this is the biggest Pagoda in Thailand and the first region in Thailand to have Buddhism. We really stretched it riding this day, we usually try to make it somewhere before dark.

BlakeMarc > You don't really notice how big it is until you see the people climbing the steps.

BlakeMarc > Fill 'er up, making a little extra dough at the local gas bar. This is the first one of these vending machine type pumps that we have ever seen. They seem to be intended for motorbikes with the smaller hoses. This was just beside a little restaurant on a back street in town.

BlakeMarc > We got up in this town, had breakfast, then drove two blocks from the hotel and Blakes Yamaha just quit suddenly. It was totally dead with no spark although it was running fine up until then. We tried to figure it out by ourselves with our tools on the side of the road, and then finally towed it behind Dad's bike to the only "big bike" shop in town. This shop speciallizes in importing "big bikes" from Japan. Japan has crazy taxes on vehicles over 4 years old, so there is an abundance of used vehicles for export. Many places do this with motorcycles in Thailand, as many shops in Toronto import engines and major components for the Japanese cars.

BlakeMarc > This was the wife of the owner that was working on the bikes steady the whole time we were there...which ended up being 1.5 days until they finally found a broken wire. She seemed to do mostly painting, and shocks. I think she was installing a shock here.
