BlakeMarc > A freelance security official. He just tends to look after the whole neighbourhood. He has upgraded his bike with the bamboo cross-bar as you can see.

BlakeMarc > We raised the roof 14" at the back hinging from the front. Then we raised the floor about 8 inches with a lot of sand and concrete. The floor was previously level with the road so it would have flooded during the rainy season. About a week after we raised it, the heavy rains came. The water did go above the original floor level so it was not all for nothing. It was difficult to work with because the original building was built in such a random unpredictable way.

BlakeMarc > The space above the fridge is the amount that the roof has been raised. The ceiling at the back (behind the fridge) met the wall just above the fridge. The bar framing is made with all hardwood (Teak that is harder than Oak) so it is difficult to work with and predict how strong everything is.

BlakeMarc > Sai's brother Louie working hard (in a supervisory kind of way). He was our Thai man for working since Fah-lang (foreigners)cannot work in Thailand (as you can see).

BlakeMarc > The roof is raised, the sand floor is laid, and we are ready to put the concrete down. Sai and Bill are just giving it the final inspection.

BlakeMarc > Air's birthday party at her friend Pong's house. She is the ripe old age of 35.

BlakeMarc > Pong's family, kids and nephews.

BlakeMarc > Whoa not used to those high heels.
